National Empowerment Project – Abigail Bray

The National Empowerment Project aims to reduce suicide, psychological and community distress by strengthening cultural, social and emotional wellbeing in communities through targeted place-based, culturally safe holistic empowerment programs. Delivered across 11 sites in Australia, the NEP is an outstanding example of Indigenous self-determination in the field of suicide prevention and mental health. Involvement in the NEP included focus groups, analysis of data, dissemination of findings, and the creation of 5  mental health and social and emotional wellbeing videos as script editor and creative director.
