Mission Australia is a humanitarian organisation which works with governments as both a service provider and an influencer. Founded on the ethical principles of compassion, respect, integrity, perseverance and celebration, Mission Australia serves and advocates for people in need such as the homeless, disadvantaged children and families, and people with specific challenges such visible and invisible disabilities.
Working with Professor Pat Dudgeon and Dr Kate Derry, we provided significant feedback and guidance during the development of the ground breaking 202 page Youth Survey Report 2020, the most comprehensive national survey to have ever been conducted with and about Australian youth. Work with Mission Australia on this report also resulted in an additional separate report, the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Youth Report (2020) which featured a forward by Professor Tom Calma AO. This report has become part of Mission Australia’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
A previous collaboration with Professor Pat Dudgeon and Associate Professor Roz Walker also resulted in strong guidance to the 2019 Can We Talk? Seven Year Youth Mental Health Report – 2012-2018 by Mission Australia.
